Description
The piece incorporates Otaku language in an effort to teach the user how to maintain both personal interests and social activities. Design items include a book series, a poster, business cards and pins, a toy figure, packaging, costumes, and a website.
Communication objective
OTAKU is an animation that has been negatively linked to people who are not currently engaged with their community and society. As a result, they risk losing the ability to work, contribute, engage and socialize externally, forever. Therefore, the mission of the project is to inspire Otakus to have meaningful and dynamic adventures in the real world.
Tools used
Adobe Photoshop was used for images. Adobe Illustrator was used during logo design, and Adobe Indesign helped in the creation of the book. Edits were made in Adobe Dreamweaver for the website.
